Real Worlds - Mantic Feedback + Project Update (13/03/25)
Mantic Feedback
Today, I had a meeting with Matt and David to discuss my character designs and project direction. They liked the idea of the direction I have chosen and gave some useful feedback on my designs which I've listed below.
Enforcer
- Push the neck down so it's closer to the shoulders and not detached.
- On the side profile, the chest needs to be pushed out more.
- Adjust the creases on the trousers so it's obvious where the knees are.
- For the weapons, look at the plague faction weapons as they are widely distributed.
- They liked the outfit and agreed with me that using alterations of existing uniform fits the enforcers.
Nightstalker
- Change the head shape. Maybe make it pterodactyl like so it's able to peck down on it's victims.
- Make the spikes have a direction instead of them facing random directions.
- Add depth to the wings (would be best to study the appearance of bat wings).
- Make the mouth on the torso bigger and more noticeable so it draws more attention.
- Liked the overall silhouette but it might be best to again look at bat wings so the wings are less square.
Project update
At this point, I have solid design ideas and have completed the turnarounds for both characters. I will need to edit these turnarounds in response to Mantic's feedback as well as doing more art studies focus around human anatomy, bat wings and pterodactyl shaped heads. My research isn't fully complete but I have some pretty solid ideas for the direction I'm taking this project in so this should be completed soon. I need to add some additional faction research and studies on The Plague's weaponry.
