Building Alliance - Self Reflection (16/01/25)

At the start of this lesson, we were tasked with looking through our blogs and grading ourselves using the rubric. I found this task particularly challenging as I didn't fully understand the wording of majority of the MLO's due to how vague they are. I focussed looking more at the targets I thought I was most likely to achieve before looking at the higher grades.

Reflection

I feel as though I did adequate research into my assigned job role and have carried it out somewhat well in this project. At the beginning, I had a more active role in discussing the work I wanted and setting deadlines. I evidenced this by including images of our discord conversations and schedules. I regularly communicated with my team and asked for their input on my work which I have evidence as well as included the improvements I've made to the designs. I have made blogs to evidence my 2D process and have included studios but I think I need to write more about the challenges I faced especially when it came to designing things I am not comfortable drawing (the designs I made for this project were not in my comfort zone). I have done some environmental research into how the industry is helping to reduce their impact on the environment as well as some research into how the individual can reduce the impact of microplastics (our chosen topic). We have also detailed the steps we plan on taking as a studio in our environmental statement which I have linked in an earlier blog post. I think currently, what I need to work on the most is more self reflection on how I found the workload and what I as an individual need to improve on. I'd also like to make more blogs detailing my 2D process as at the time of writing this, most of my final 2D asset process haven't been published.
