Industry Practice - Workshop Meeting/ Plans Over Christmas (13/12/24)

Meeting Agenda & My Role: To discuss assets, the script and plans over Christmas.

Decisions and/or Actions & Deadlines: We made the decision to get rid of the 'neutral ending' we originally planned as we felt it wasn't necessary and this will help lessen the work load. We discussed what happens in each ending with the therapist befriending and continuing to assist the patients in the good ending, and the patients leaving in the bad ending. We will have the patients expressions reflect the ending the player is currently working towards (this is to help the players realise how much of an impact their words can have on an individual). We all agreed to have a meeting over Christmas to update Jake with the decisions we've made and to get his input. For the script, we discussed having two general questions that all patients will answer as well as a more specific question. We made a few changes to our asset list to reflect these decisions.

Reflections: Overall, this meeting was very productive. We set a deadline to have the script done by the end of Christmas break and we have plans in place to have another meeting that includes Jake so we can update him on the decisions made.

Real Worlds - Enforcer Key Illustration Process

Enforcer Sketch I started off by copying and pasting the thumbnail I chose onto a separate canvas. I then drew out a box in an attempt to fix drawing so it made more sense for the perspective it was in. I then did a sketch over it to add in the enforcer's features and armour. Lighting Pass Since my chosen genre is survival horror, I wanted my enforcer to look quite terrified and have lighting to reflect that mood. I decided to use a flashlight that had been dropped on the floor to illuminate my enforcer. Here is the basic sketch over on how I'd think it'd look. Toolkit - Gantt Chart and Kanban

Gantt Chart This is the plan I made for 3D over my easter break. I had unfortunately spent too much time focusing on other projects and not enough time on this one. I should've made sure I had more time on this project especially because 3D is one of my weaker areas. Here is the Gantt Chart I made for Toolkit. Gantt Chart Updated/ Revised (10/05/25) I was able to keep up with gantt chart up until week 4. I greatly overestimated how long the sculpting process would take and ended spending the week just on that. Luckily, I had just finished one of my other projects so for the final week I was able to put most of my focus onto this project. 3D Toolkit - Renders, Turntable and Unreal Implementation

Turntable Here is a link to my turntable on Sketchfab:  https://skfb.ly/pxnUY Unfortunately, the texture for the mask on the belt just wouldn't work. It wasn't assigning correctly onto the model despite being completely fine in both Maya and Unreal. I was unable to resolve this issue so I left it with a basic white colour. Renders For some reason, during my renders, the textures broke and I wasn't entirely sure how to fix it. I think it might've been to do with the materials of my assets. I tried changing them but it broke the textures even more.  Unreal Implementation I implemented my character into unreal to see how they looked. They had been scaled a little too big, so in Maya I went back and made them smaller.
