Environmental statement
I went into our shared OneDrive to get the environmental statement my teammate (Evie) wrote. I changed some words to make the brief we have chosen clearer and made sure it was readable and it easily fit on the slide. I took some time to read through it so I could carry over some point made in here onto the environment milestones slide.
How will we all meet environmental milestones
Environmental milestones are events and actions that have shaped environmental awareness, protection and management.
I did some research and it seems the main environmental issues faced by the gaming industry is due to energy consumption of gaming hardware and data centres. I made sure to research the steps that the gaming industry was taking to reduce the impact of these issues. Not all of the research I found was relevant to what we are working on as a studio so I picked out a few that were.
- Cloud gaming
- Turn off pcs when not in use
- reference our environmental statement
I only picked 3 as our presentation is only supposed to last 10 minutes and I don't want to spend too much time on one slide.
I left a gap in the bottom corner as our director requested we leave a space so they can add avatars of whomever is in charge of those slides. This is to help us remember who's talking about which slide during our presentation.
Mood Boards
Everyone contributed to this slide with their mood boards. I've put a rectangle around the ones I contributed. The purpose of our presentation is to present our ideas for this game so we didn't include every mood board.

Concept Art
Similar to the mood boards, we could not include all the thumbnails/ concept art in this presentation so I decided to focus on the main concepts I did for my Mini Boss instead of the concepts I did for my teammates characters.
For evidence of feedback, I decided to contribute some feedback Holly and Sasha gave me for my mini boss thumbnails. On the left are the thumbnails they gave me feedback on. I took screenshots of the discord conversation we had detailing what they liked in each thumbnail as well as some suggestions for boss mechanics. On the right, is a photo of some more thumbnail designs focusing on the feedback they gave me.
Benchmarks
To help out Holly, I decided to do the benchmark for our game's main influence, Scavengers Reign. I included 2 images involving characters and the environment as that's mainly what we are focussing on. I also included an image of a creature from Scavengers Reign to help as a visual aid for those of us who are doing more creature like characters.
I double checked with Holly since she's in charge of the benchmarks to see if it fit the format of her other slides. She informed me that it looked good so nothing needed to be changed.
