Building Alliances - Character Mood boards (10/10/24)

In this lesson, we had a deadline that I set due. I have told everyone to make sure they had their assigned characters moodboards ready. We all had completed the deadline so we spent this lesson discussing the general direction we all wanted to take with our characters. We also linked our mood boards in discord.


We each took turns to speak about each mood board and discuss our reasonings for including certain images. We spoke about our ideas we had but overall, we tried to be as vague as we could to leave room for lots of other ideas and creativity. I wanted to make sure we got these mood boards done as I wanted to start my team on character creating character thumbnails soon. I thought the mood boards would be a great idea to help give us inspiration and references to make the thumbnailing process easier! We decided we each wanted to contribute by doing 5 thumbnails minimum (per character) for everyone to complete for the deadline on Wednesday 16th. 

We then spent the rest of our time starting our thumbnails.

3D Toolkit - Renders, Turntable and Unreal Implementation

Turntable Here is a link to my turntable on Sketchfab:  https://skfb.ly/pxnUY Unfortunately, the texture for the mask on the belt just wouldn't work. It wasn't assigning correctly onto the model despite being completely fine in both Maya and Unreal. I was unable to resolve this issue so I left it with a basic white colour. Renders For some reason, during my renders, the textures broke and I wasn't entirely sure how to fix it. I think it might've been to do with the materials of my assets. I tried changing them but it broke the textures even more.  Unreal Implementation I implemented my character into unreal to see how they looked. They had been scaled a little too big, so in Maya I went back and made them smaller.
